To obtain up-to-date currency exchange rate, you may want to check your local newspaper or log into the internet website www.oanda.com

Electrical Current

The electrical current in France is 220/230 V, 50 Hz, AC. If your electrical devices do not meet these standards, you will need to bring the appropriate converters and adapters.

Time Zones

France is 1 hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (or Greenwich Mean Time). From late March through October, France switches to Daylight Savings Time and is 2 hours ahead. To determine current time in major cities around the world, we suggest you log on to the Internet website www.timeanddate.com.

The south of France has a warm Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. Strong winds, known as the Mistral, can occur in the Cote d Azur, Provence, particularly in the winter and spring.  From April through October, average high temperatures in Provence range from 65° to 85°F and the average low temperatures range from 55 to 75°F.
